fresh hatch in flight

this is still from saturday. i sat, i have a great super light and strong portable stool - guess i know what one of my dailies will be soon, while my sis took a walk along the shore. it was exceptionally warm for this time of year, about 55F i think, and there was fresh bug harch everywhere we went. because i was sitting and looking i noticed these cavorting about thirty feet away in the lengthening afternoon sun, had my 500mm on as was trying to get a shot of a harrier orf owl, they were all over but light was too low and cam was malfing dark so don;t think i got any but sure have some beauties in my memory files, so i thought i'd try a shot. this is quite cropped down even with the 500mm but it came out about as well as i could hope for handheld and no glasses for focusing. didn't get out at all today or have much energy for pics or smugmug. did get my 'shrrom pics uploaded and in a gallery finally. link is below for those interested. i did remember to be thankful for a good many things, friends and family leading the list. have a fine day
